Just a little faith

Matthew 17:20 (NIV)

 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

God is looking for those who will believe His words, those who will trust Him by faith, who will doubt their doubts over certain circumstances beyond their control. Truly speaking, these are the
people God is looking for.

People that will come out boldly with all hope on Him no matter what has happened, people who won’t consider the years of waiting on Him, the ''no marriage'' ones, no child, no employment, shattered lives, the orphans, the poor, the sick, what have you? Just like the woman with the issue of blood, who doubted her doubt in the mist of discouragement, who didn’t accept the doctor’s report on how many days left for her to live. Her faith level was higher than her doubt level, she was determined to press further, even when the multitude around Jesus was so great; and of course, the devil must have spoken so loud to her, that the sickness was unto death, that she wasn’t ever going to make it, but she paid a deaf ear to what the devil was saying at that moment, her faith was more important than her doubt, it was a matter of life of death, so she struggled hard for the target which was just to touch the hem of Jesus garment, and immediately she did that, healing came to her in less than a second, virtue automatically left Jesus without Him even laying His hands on her.

That was faith at work, which was all that was needed at that point in time. If she had considered the crowd, or may be waited for a better opportunity, I don’t think her story would have been included in the bible.  

Many of us today don’t look unto Jesus with faith; we prefer to look up to man. The bible says “looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith” (Heb 12:2). Man can’t solve our problems; man can’t heal the sick, raise the dead, give children, nor help our infirmities. The best they will do is to listen to your problems and possibly make some suggestions. Some are even happy seeing you in that condition, they mock at you when they are off your view, and some of their prayers are to see your down fall.

Are you facing any problem today? Do you see yourself in such condition that the woman with the issue of blood saw herself? Did you know that just a little faith as small as mustard seed can change your situation around? Why not give it a try! Why not tell God that you are giving up on all you have put your trust on, and trusting Him that he will do what nobody else can do for you!

Yes He knows you’ve been married for years and childless, He knows you have been single even when you’re ripe for marriage, He knows you are unemployed, He knows you are poor, sick and homeless, but He wants you to challenge Him with a little faith, He wants you to put your trust in Him, He wants you to always run to Him in times of needs, He wants to be your cake taker, He wants to father you, He wants to nurse you like a new born baby who seek for breast milk from the mother. Do this for Him, and He will do that which you desire for you.
